Doosan Engine Co. LTD said it signed an investment agreement to build an industrial park for auxiliary parts of marine engines in Dalian, a port city in northeast China`s Liaoning Province.
The agreement was signed between Doosan and the Dalian Economic and Technology Development Area.
The part, which will be built in the development area, will cover an area of 330,000 square meters.
Doosan will invest US$150 million in the project with an annual production of marine engines of 3 million horsepower and other auxiliary projects.
Construction of the first-phase project will start this September, with production expected to begin in 2007.
